I'm not doing any special programming in my libraries this year. I will be sharing poetry when I visit classes at a local elementary school this month.
I was a 2013 CYBILS judge in the poetry category. I created an index of all my poetry reviews as a result. I have some new 2014 titles on order and hope to be reading and reviewing them soon.
For Flannel Fridays this month, I'll be sharing rhymes, poems, and the like that I have turned into felt sets for my flannel board. To see what I've already posted, check out the index of my Flannel Friday posts.
This year I decided to created a bulletin board poetry calendar (inspired by this idea) in the kid's section. One poem for each day in April, all from books in our library collections. I'm hoping the end result will be the books featured checking out many times during the month.
